I'll check it here in s second. Do you think that would explain the lack of power to the radio AND the cigarette lighter?

Lo and behold you, were right lol None of my fuses were blown, like I had previously stated, but instead I had overlooked the fact that my radio fuses socket lacked a fuse altogether. The reason being is that my brother needed one the other day for testing something on his xj and failed to return it. And I didn't know that he had taken it in the first place so I didn't think to look that hard... That fixes the Radio and the car charging socket issue.

I've been really busy as of late and haven't done too much work on my xj, so the jury is still out on the cause for my acceleration hesitation. Tomorrow I'm gonna fix my broken driver side upper door hinge And from there I'm might do some diagnostic testing. I appreciate your help and tip and such thus far, Cruiser54.

So, i didn't figure out what the hesitation was, instead i found out my motor has a rod knock. My dad (who has worked on car the majority of his life) said that it was all but blown. He didn't want me driving it anywhere. Cause I thought it could be my exhaust, but I was getting worse, and by yesterday I asked to listen to it, and he said yeah it's a bad rod. You're done driving it.

Sure it's not loose flexplate bolts? They sound like a rod knock.

I'll check the inspection plate Wednesday for kicks and giggles, but my dad has heard more than a few rod knocks in his day and seemed pretty sure.

To even the trained ear, loose flexplate bolts sound like a rod knock.

Worth a half hour of your time to find out?

Sure is lol. Now I just need to find time to do it. Working 5 12-15hr days doesn't leave much time for that.
