Default Adding stock fog lights to 90XJ

When mounting two OEM type fog lights that mount on the bumper of my 90XJ I noticed that there was an unused two prong electrical connector behind the bumper. Is that where the fog lights plug into?

If so, is there a wiring harness that joins the two fog lights in parallel to connect to this plug?

I assume that the empty relay socket next to the auxiliary fan relay is for the fog lights relay?

If there's one either side - probably.

A 2 pin connector behind the bumper could also be an unused thermometer harness(for outside temp). The actual thermometer would only be installed if you have the overhead console. I'm not familiar with your model year though.

Thanks for that. It makes sense.

I did find another unused two pin connector exiting the wire bundle at the same place as the aux fan connector.

I'll know more when I install a fog light switch at the OEM location and am able to apply power to the relay.

The parts guide lists 2 different harnesses. One with and one without fogs. Item #4. Looks like the harness connects all the front end lights.

On my '88 with factory fogs, the fog lamp relay is circled in red.

Of course, you can wire it anyway that's convenient for you.

Thanks for the link.

I have an unused relay socket I believe to be for the fog lights, so I'll have to dig a little bit deeper into the wiring harness and maybe I'll find a fog light connector near each headlight.

I keep looking for Jeeps at picknpull that have factory fog lights to harvest the dash switch.

I discovered that 97-01 XJs without factory fog lights have the blank slots in the relay box but the are no connectors or wiring beneath, could be different on early models.
