I called Jegs they havenot even proccesed the order yet, they just have that i payed thru paypal. Got on the phone w/Napa, they do a lot of buisiness with Dorman,who is outta Pa. My Napa guy says he is going to check with them
and get back to me. soooo I am waiting for Napa or Jegs to call, we will see what happens.

They told me it is going to ship straight from Dorman. I hope the compressor lasts. I just don't understand how nobody can have the part. I have had a few Gm cars that I had bypass pulleys on and never had a problem getting them.

Ok I did some more research and Summit has Dorman Part Number 34173 in stock which is for a 1993-1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. So if you get a Grand Cherokee A/C Bracket and Belt you could run that Bypass Pulley. I guess it depends if you are going to risk the Compressor seizing or not.

Did you call jeep/chrysler?
Look at this picture, my XJ when I first bought it, engine in pieces.
But it did not come with factory air. It has a small bracket and pulley in the bottom left corner.

Nope. Its on the XJ we're driving.
I guess from what I've seen its kind of rare to see an XJ without air.
It just bolts down like the A/C compressor would.

Oreilly auto parts has at least 4 of them in the warehouse in Brownsburg Indiana....any of the Oreilly auto parts in Cal can order them in for you....I'm not able to see stock in the Western warehouses.

my pump just locked up on me yesterday. so that by pass pully is out if stock pretty much everwhere still

As far as I know it is. I looked everywhere for it and couldn't find it. A1 Auto just posted that they have it but there sire says it is out of stock.
