There should be a numeral "1" molded into the distributor cap just above the contact for the no. 1 plug wire. I seem to be able to see in the pictures you posted but just may be some dirt. The no. 1 terminal is a bit counterclockwise from the six-o'clock position on the cap. The diagram you posted shows the no.1 terminal straight down but it is actually a bit to the right.
Get back if you can't find it.

Well Its not that anyways ...im getting no spark at the coil. I did the old trusty test where u hold the coil wire a lil away from the contact and check for spark and there was none. This kind of started right after I cleaned the c101 with brake cleaner. maybe some brake cleaner is still in the connector?

Normal. Make sure none are folded over or bent. On the other side, are the receptacles in the plastic housing and not retracted?

Sorry for sounding idiotic but I dont know exactly which test you're referring to. I did refresh the ground on the block by sanding the connections and tightening them back on.
EDIT: Do you mean post #5 in your thread? I dont have an ohmmeter.I found a suspicious ground while looking around the engine bay...The wires look new so it makes me wonder. If you notice its coming out of one of the wiring looms/harnesses

Going to do that soon! By the way cruiser, Behind every good man is a better woman lol. The wife was helping me with the jeep today and she noticed gas spews from the regulator while turning the jeep over. I doubt this is my crank issue correct? And i mean it spews bad.

I confess I didn't read the thread. Two easy checks though. The diagrams are wrong. #1 is at 5:00 viewed from the side. 153624 Clockwise. And:
There is a brittle little tube. It comes out of a rubber plug, low on the engine side of the throttle body. It runs back to the firewall, then up to your MAP sensor sort of high up there near center on the firewall. CRUCIAL!! The MAP will tell the ECU to dump fuel with less/no vacuum. Any crack or blockage and it will be pig-rich. (black smoke, fouled black plugs). You can pull the line off the MAP and feel for vacuum with your finger. If it runs!
Just tossing that in there! Sorry of me to not be more thorough reading through.
