I repaired the wire cluster in both the door boots today to see if that would fix my door lock issue.all the locks seem to engage except the 2 front locks,they make the noise like they want to but arent... after looking at the bar that connects to the door lock and the actual lock is bent alittle would this keep it from locking...also if I have the passenger door lock hooked up it seems to lock and unlock on it's own..sorry forgot to mention it's a 98 jeep xj.all help is appreciated

I’ve looked into this issue myself, in my ‘98, where I hear a hum noise or grind noise , or some weird type of noise...
i think I recall in other posts people saying it’s the “actuator”.
