Alternator connector nut won’t come off

Default Alternator connector nut won’t come off
I’m trying to upgrade my alternator to a 136A but ran into a problem getting the old one off. One nut on the connector will not screw off. It rotates around the stud forever. Any tips on how to remove this nut? It’s the nut on the right in the photos below

Other thing to try would be to use a flat screwdriver and try to push the connector into the threads to grip the stud.

I tried the screwdriver trick but no luck. The Dremel got the nut though without damaging the connector thankfully
