Alternator relocation?
I have had to replace or take apart and clean my alternator too many times after playing in the mud. Is there any way of relocating that guy? As it is right now I have to hit it every now and then to get it to work, and it only has about 1000 miles on it.

Instead of moving it maybe it would be easier to shield it, like down below it. I would not won't to impede the airflow over it.

i have never heard of banging on an alternator to get it working again... after mudding/deepwater wheeling i have to bang **** 'back to life' all the time so i can get home... ive been thru maybe 6-7 XJ alternators and it has never once occured to me to try banging on it lol. GOOD TO KNOW...
