At least with the 2WD's and the twin I beam, there are parts to correct the god-aweful alignment and tire wear issues.
I guess it just depends on the years. Everyone I've known with an Explorer or Mounty with 5.0's were AWD. My friend has a 96 4wd with the 4.0. After he got 30"s, it's still slower than my XJ on 31"s.

They're not running boards..they're just really light-duty sliders .

Wicked, pick up an old ranger so you have a pickup truck. They are handy to have but, don't give up the XJ, Bro......especially for an Exploder.

I had an 89 ranger before my XJ. I loved that truck and some times I wish I still had it. I couldn't find another good deal on a ranger so I went with a Cherokee. Next vehicle on my list is an early bronco.

If you gotta have a Ford and you can't find a 70 Boss 429, an EB is the way to go. Very nice classic looking rigs and very capable 4x4s.

I love my wifes ranger. Its a bare bones2000 2wd 5spd. 2.5L it gets sweeeet gas mileage and tows good too, if your towing a light trailer with a couple quads and thats it. Good reliable truck though. Not a big fan of the explorer but to each there own.
