Just to be clear, you are talking about some radiator on ebay, not the CSF....

I'm just talking about the rad on post #10, whatever it is. The add says 2 row, but the fine print says 1 row, which is fine. The add also says that it has the cooling capacity of a 2 row. It could possibly have better cooling capacity. I'm sure some folks think when they see 2 row core that it must be twice as thick, have twice the cooling performance, as the OE stock 1 row core......not.

Again, one has to do their homework and find out if the CSF 2 row core, or any other 2 row core, is thicker than the OE 1 row core? If it's not, where's the benefit?

Mr. Bass has offered up his experience, (2 row vs 1 row in post #8) and seems to think there is no added benefit. (Thanks again, PB)

I didn't read the fine print. So far working good. Someone from this forum referred me to it.

When I decided to buy I found a bunch of threads --- there were some people who thought the CSF 3 row may not have as good flow (particularly on a stock engine) and also less fan clearance, and also in those threads the CSF 2 row seemed to be a no brainer as a replacement for the crimped plastic/aluminum stock style radiators. No issues were reported on fan clearance with the 2 row.

All that said, I think the radiator in my XJ is factory original and probably 15 years old, so the stockers do seem to work fine.

And the two places that seemed like they used to have good deals on CSF were not around. And Amazon's price is still $20 cheaper than quadratic (and at the time I did my original search I think it was $50 than Quadratec)

I haven't installed the CSF 2 row yet so I can offer no recommendation beyond what is already in other threads here. In other words, do a search.

I'll try and post a side-by-side with stock when I replace it.

Don't believe everything u read on the Net/in forums......that's the no brainer. U don't have to have a brain to post on the net.

Nothing against the old school CSF all metal (copper/brass) 2 row but, the XJ FSM says plastic tanks r stronger than metal metal tanks.......but nothing is indestructible. Every new car/truck produced today comes with a modern aluminum core/plastic tank rad, even those with 6-7 figure MSRPs.
