The fail safe thermostat is now ruined if it was installed.
If you keep this up, you are going to trash that engine. Severe damage may have already been done.

I know but there's nothing else to drive right now.
I've been looking at strokers for a replacement, re-manning would cost the same it appears.
I see a few come up again and again in forums and web searches. Is there any distinct difference from one to another? Is there one to stay away from?
Obviously I want to be as inexpensive as possible.
Golden Stroker - $3,899.00

Engine House Stroker - $2,350.00
505 Performance Stroker - $3,650.00

The trucks holding togeather havent given it a chance to overheat. However it needs to be replaced. Im looking heavily at the golden and 505. Intrested to hear any comparison.
I'm thinking I want to go 4.7-4.9. Im just leary of losing stregenth going further than 4.6. I want another 200k+ out of it.
It will be a street/rally/cross country. I want to be able to hit small trails and desert quick and hard but still drive it on street and nobodys the wiser. No lift and accessories.
I've collected some new basic parts for the swap, ceramic heder, hi pro coil/wire kit, hi flo pump and housing, belt, plugs, shrouds etc.
Holding off and looking at injectors based on block choice, havent nailed it down yet.
