Default Another Alternator Question

Am I correct that this alternator for a 98 ZJ 5.9 will fit and work on a 96 XJ 4.0? I assume with some grinding?
I hate to make a thread just for this but I want to double check since the return window may be closed by the time I install it.
Thanks in advance!

Yes, grinding/clearancing the factory bracket(s) and also swapping the black power wire isolator from your 96 alt to that 98 136 amp help with the routing. I believe there is also an extra rib on that 98 pulley so swap pulleys or favor whichever set of ribs fits naturally
