Default Another Misfire Thread...

Ok, so I've searched and searched, and hate posting threads when there's dozens of them already... but I can't find any clear cut answer so hopefully someone will have some advice for me.

Backstory: Moved from NC to VA and found out that after driving for a hundred miles it doesn't like to recrank at the gas station until something has had a chance to cool off. I started carrying carb cleaner in the off chance that it was flooding itself, appeared to work once, but it had also been sitting for thirty minutes. Never worked when engine was warm/hot. (Yes, carb cleaner will work as starting fluid)

I have a 2000 XJ 4.0 and while commuting to work the CEL came on. Code scanner shows it has P0320(CPS) and five misfire codes 0302,0301,0306,0305,0304. Since I have five and not four or six, and the CPS code, i'm leaning toward the CPS. Thoughts?

My thoughts:
-Obviously the P0320 is a huge sign of the CPS, but could it be something else?
-If the misfire was caused by the coil, wouldn't it be 2/4/6 misfires by the way it's designed?
-I hate replacing unnecessary parts, so I want a one and done, is there a way to test the CPS?
-Not cranking with carb cleaner proves it's a spark issue, right?
-All of my injectors have the insulation on them for the heat soak fix, is it possible that they're holding heat in? Should it be on all of the injectors?
-It seems to run fine when driving, only a random misfire when sitting at idle.

Thanks for any help in advance.

CPS can get temperature sensitive and you are having hot-restart issues, your CPS is showing a code and you're getting misfires. That's enough for me to replace it.
Get one from the dealership if you can. NAPA second choice.

There are resistance checks you can do, but they're only worth so much. If the CPS fails the resistance checks then it's bad, but if it passes it can also be bad. Substitution is the best test.

The insulation on the injectors shouldn't cause any trouble.

Thanks for the response! That's the way I was leaning toward on the CPS just wanted another opinion.
