The suspect link is just a 12v fusible wire that looks as if it's been shrinkwrapped - I'm not sure how to test it, can I just pin thru above and below and test it that way?

I don't recall seeing any marks on terminals - doesn't mean they're not there, so I'll look tonight.

Tonights update
So I tore into that suspect fusible link - it's just link wire,no fuse, of heat shrinked steel wire with what I swear is some kind of glue(epoxy?) connecting it to heavy red copper wire coming out of the loom and looped to the stud on power dist. relay. There was no continuity from copper to steel, so I think that's the problem. Guess I'm gonna have to solder a new wire link on - ideally I'd like to trace red copper back to wherever and replace the whole thing, but that may be beyond my scope.
As it is, I'll have to cut at least an inch off copper to get a clean end, which doesn't give me much room for error, so I'm open for suggestions as to how to go about it. Think I can just use a quick connect or do I have to solder (which I'm not good at) down in that hard place to get to?
