U may still be getting an false/inaccurate temp reading.....u can not mix-n-match temp gauges and sending units. Temp gauges are matched with a specific sending unit. In other words, u can't solder in a AutoMeter gauge (for example) and expect an accurate reading using some other sending unit......u must use the specific sending unit that came with the aftermarket gauge....or u must use a factory sending unit with a factory gauge.

It sounds like you've done a lot that should have got your cooling system in order. Next apparent step is to verify with IR temp gauge pointed at thermostat housing after warmed up. Report back after you do that.

Seems like I have no time these days. Hopefully I'll get to it this weekend along a list of other things. Anyone know where to borrow/rent a IR thermometer? A place like NAPA have one of these?

Any bubbles going into over flo bottle when running.System should be checked for exhaust gasses in coolant . Rise in temp occurs mostly when ?
