Do you guys paint your axels and such? Do you just use like oil based paint like rattle can rustolem or do you put like bedliner on those?

I'm trying to get all geared up and protected for the Wisconsin winter. I think i'm gonna bedliner the "trim mold and down" area also, thanks for the tip.

Also, I see alot of people painting their rims, what are they using to do that with that wont need touching up all the time?

Thanks
T

The wheels are "like" best powdercoated IMO if you know someone that does that locally to you. The axles are painted with rattle cans on most of the junk I have ever owned. I used frame paint from the NAPA store. Just got some propeller paint to try on my sliders when I install them but haven't tried it yet.

my friends and i have painted wheels by scuffing them up,a light coat of primer(wet sanding optional) and a quality (i prefer satin) spray paint like rustoleum, never had much of a problem with chipping them up but if you do just hit em with a quick spray...it's the cheap way

I used Rustoleum black satin, on the axles, gas tank factory skid, hitch, etc... worked wonderfully and looked soooo much better.

I used 3M undercoating on my axles, as well as the undercarriage.
