antenna adapter
Quick question i am about to go buy a aftermarket deck, do i need a antenna adapter and a mounting kit, to me it looks like it should fit perfect without a dash kit.
My jeep is a 92 cherokee xj.

Most aftermarket decks will need a dash kit unless you want to cut/splice all of the wires together. Antenna plug is usually universal, but the harness for speakers is model dependent. It's a lot easier to spend the extra $20 bucks on the wiring harness imho.

I am going to buy the wire harness but they also sell antenna adapters that the sales guy thinks i might need, but if i thought i read somewhere that it is needed and it should just plug in but i just wanted to confirm.

It depends on the head unit but most have the right connector. Some foreign cars have little/funky antenna plugs that you need an adapter for. Most times domestics will be fine without an adapter.
