Default anyone have this problem?

Well i am on my 4th water pump, and second head, i cant figure this out. Ive tried different brands and etc. But what happens is, i install a waterpump, (i do not over tighten it), but when i put on the water pump, the blade on the pump hits the inside wall of the head, causing it not to spin, the belt slides around the pulley, no matter how tight i make the belt, it will not spin, ill take the pump off, and you can see where it digs into the head trying to spin. Ive gotten dif water pump brands, got one at a junk yard, etc, any ideas?

Do you still have the original pump that came off of the vehicle? You can compare it with the original. The only other thing I can think of is there may be a difference between years of production. Do you have a 94? You might want to look a few behind and after. I had a 79 Chrysler that had 78, 79 and 80 parts that came from the factory.

Unfortunately i do not have the original anymore, traded it in to get my core cost gone, but the one i got from a junk yard motor seemed to be an original

Nope, the blade hits the block, idk why i said the head, but ive tried a different block from a 93, i tried the water pumps im getting, and they arent spinning on that engine as well, idk what it is, i cant seem to find the correct water pump i guess, the one i first had, spun just fine, but had started leaking so i figured might as well replace the entire pump rather than just the gasket since i have to take it off, but i gave it for the core price. Wish i didnt, but they didnt have the pump anymore by the time i finally got to replacing it.

what engine do you have? Not to sound like a jerk, it isn't setting crooked in the hole is it? I mean can you install it easily?
