Anyone install any sound dampener material- adhesive backed foil covered product on the interior floor? looking to work my DD from the bottom up and thought it would be a good start..

I have never used it myself, but I was at my local Pull A Part yesterday and was looking over an XJ that had lots of Stinger sound deadener throughout. This guy did both the inside of the exterior skin and the interior panel of both front doors. The rear doors feel and sound very solid when you shut them, so I'm assuming they are done as well. The interior trim panel on the driver's side was removed and I could see the rear wheel wells were done as well. Also, where the exterior and inner support panels met, there was spray foam all over the inner rear fender. This guy even had polyfil (for those that don't know, the fluffy stuff from pillows and stuffed animals) stuffed in several holes inside the rear gate to keep the wires from rattling. Evidently this XJ had an expensive sound system in it at one time. Especially considering the 1/0 gauge negative batt. cable he replaced the stocker with.

I take it the man liked his tunes.. I am looking at a product called B-Quiet.. they even have a Cherokee stripped and being loaded with their product on their site.. A couple hundred bucks aint too bad for a 100 sq feet and I was thinking of buying a new vinyl flooring over the top of that..

200 for 100 sq foot? Thats a good price! Man the aluminum dynomat sound proofing material is very expensive. It does good though. I had it in My previous jeep as I had a system in it for a while. It does good though to quiet things up a bit. I will def be checking out the material you mentioned. thanks!
