Default Anyone know the size of the Rear seat belt bolt

Looking to remove my head liner but looks like the rear seat belt bolts are holding it in and none of the torque bit I have are big enough. I'm planning on picking up another set this week but want to make sure I get the correct size. Anyone know what that size is?

Ditto, pretty sure its a T50 torx. I just did this the other day but I could remember if it was T50 or T55.

I bought a t55 for my jeep once. I still haven't used it. I'm convinced they were getting kickbacks for using t50 they are everywhere and no other vehicle I have ever seen uses them.

I haven't had any vehicle that used so many Torx bits, I'm used to Japanese cars where everything is 10 and 12mm regular hex bolts. Had to buy a whole torx set just to work on the Jeep.

I always joke that with a 10mm, 13mm, 15mm and t50 you could do a full teardown of an XJ.

Thanks for that info. I will see about picking up a single t50 but also price the full set.

Took my son to the junk yard Sat to get a few things for his Jeep and when we packed the tool bag he asked why are you bring so many different tools. Told him with the Jeep you never know what you need until you look at it. And good thing we brought everything we needed most of the tools in the bag to get his parts.

Agreed, on my 2000 XJ it's like a random assortment of metric, standard, torx, and an assortment of screws. It seems like whenever they updated something they switched to metric, but everything that stayed the same design-wise from the original late 80's Cherokee's they just left standard.
