I have a similar issue to this, But I was actually just taking my starter off and I know i'm supposed to remove the negative battery terminal but it was early and it slipped my mind. Anyway started wrenching the nut off and then there was a spark, I then disconnected the negative terminal and continued to clean and put the starter back. Hook up fine, started fine, but i noticed my check engine light came on. I drove it to get the codes check but had to go to wal mart first, when i came out and tried to start it, it died on me twice, then i kept it running by pressing the gas. I made it to advanced auto and the codes said my o2 sensors were bad? I told them the situation and they said i may have fried my computer. I went out and it started fine and drove fine all the way home. So now im stuck with a check engine light and i have no idea what its for. Could you tell me how you solved your issue?
