I tried that, but there is another fastener under the rail comming up through the roof.

Why are you taking them off anyways?

Is the factory roof rail a good place to ground lights on a rack?
Is the unused plug behind the front bumper in the center of the jeep for the fog lights, and if so, is everything there except for the switch and relay to install a set?

Nah I think the one in the center is for ambient temp sensor, the overhead consoles use them.

Mine had a pigtail on each side for factory fog lights.

I'm not sure, both mine (91,99) had them. Lol

I imagine if they're not down by the bumper, there is probably a place they attach to the rest of the harness, further up the line. I haven't looked that much at them.

Should be able to take the plastic end stops on the front or back ( there is a little tab on the stops so careful when taking them off) then those feet slide ride off

So lately the XJ has been getting poor fuel mileage and every time I step out of it, no matter the distance, there is a strong odor of raw fuel. Any known issues to the early 90's on this before I try to trace a leak down?

Exhaust leak or leaking injector O rings would ve my guess. Iv got a bad exhause leak at the manigold and when under hard acceleration i could smell raw gas in the cab.

If you look at the photo, the door molding has come a bit loose and is raised off the door.
What do I use to glue it back on? I don't see a fastener that has popped loose.

Since it is raised, it was hitting into the fender.
This pushed the fender in, and made it interfere with the opening of the door.
I took a screwdriver and pried the fender back into place.

What do I use to glue it back on? I don't see a fastener that has popped loose.
