Default Audio troubleshooting

2001 cherokee, 100% stock. You know how the stock header unit has the joystick to fade the audio left and right back and front? Well neither of my front speakers are working. When I put the joystick in the "front" position, I can BARELY hear the music playing. Just very very faintly. Does this sound like a header, wiring, or speaker problem?

I just swapped radios from and aftermarket to a Double Din. If you feel like upgrading I can get you some details. It should be plug and play; brackets, harness, the whole sha-bang.

Check the wiring where it goes through the doors.

X2 they're prone to breaking due to the constant opening and closing of the door, just slide the little rubber boot out of the way and look and look
