aussie locker
Hey how hard is it to install an aussie locker in the dana30? I heard its pretty easy (like not the same hting as gears). It seems like a decent axle and its super cheap, whats a cheap axle i can use in my 29 spline cryco 8.25 rear?

I have never installed one myself but It sounds like something that can be done pretty easily. Not a comparison to doing a gear swap by any means. I think you would be fine with the install.

It is an easy install. It does require removing the axle shafts, and the carrier from the axle, and then removing the ring gear and taking the spiders out. If you can do that, you can install this in no time. I put mine in my front end in 1.5 hours, in the dark, with just a head-mounted light. it wasn't my first time though.
I had an aussie in my 30 but it didn't workout so i switched to the lockright and it's been sitting in the axle waiting for some action. Worth every penny though. I had lockrights in both front and rear axles of my TJ and couldn't survive without em
Do you mean what's a cheap locker for the rear 29 spline 8.25? If so, powertrax makes a no-slip for about $300-$350. It's pretty much the same as the aussie/lockright except quieter and smoother operation.
