Automatic Window
I have a 99 Cherokee with automatic windows. It went down and would not come up. Anyone else had to deal with this? Is it easy to fix? Any suggestions where to get parts?

yeah my back 2 windows are power, they go down fast until they get about halfway, then bog down and almost stop! I dont know why they do this but I know not to put then all the way down... Kind of a pain in the butt though

Its either a bad switch or a bad motor... will it move at all? It sounds like a bad motor... they can be a pain to change sometimes but its definitely doable.

It was making some weird noises before it stopped working. Now, I can hear the motor "spinning" but the window is down and not moving up. I took the door apart and pushed the window up, then zip tied it so it would not come back down. The auto door locks also presented a problem when I was trying to access the window....doesn't look like I can separate the lock mechanism from the door panel and switch??

The lock mechanism is connected to the handle with a rod. You have to disconnect the rod from the door panel plastic clip. It will come off. I used a flat head screwdriver and it popped right off.
