Auxilary fan

Auxilary fan
I have a 1997 Cheorokee with 4.0L inline 6. The auxilary fan does not operate. I ran power directly to it, and it works fine. I figure it must be a thermostat. Anybody know where the thermostat is, or if this may be a result of some other problem?
