Aw4 issues.

Aw4 issues.
Hello peeps, so today I was driving, I stopped at a stop light took off and then I took my foot of the gas to coast and the transmission didn't shift into 2nd. Shifted hard into 3rd. Skipped 2nd. A min later got a CEL with codes P0700 and P0753. I'm gonna replace solenoids A and B. I have heard that 98s solenoids fail. It seems as I drive it only 2nd gear dosent work. OD and locking of the TC work. Do you guys agree that this is the correct thing to do?

Possibly. I would do this first:
Cruiser’s Trans Plug Refreshing
Over near the transmission dipstick tube are 2 rather large connectors. One is black and the other gray. These 2 connectors carry all the info between TPS, TCU, NSS, speed sensor, and transmission solenoids.
Unplug each one, visually inspect for corrosion or bent pins, spray them out with electrical contact cleaner and plug them back in.
Additionally, if your Jeep is an 87 to 90 Renix, it’s always a good idea to reach up under the glovebox area and unplug the connector to the TCU and spray it out along with the receptacle of the TCU. While you’re there, find the fuse right in that area for the TCU. Remove it and spray out it’s receptacle and clean any corrosion from the fuse.

The first thing I did was check all the wires that I can. The Jeep also worked correctly when I used it today so I don't think it's a wiring issue. Just one of the solenoids going bad and sticking. Its 98 by the way. I don't remember where but I read that 98s have solenoids that go bad.
