AW4 pump swappable years
Alright guys so I know it’s been posted many times about the changes in transmission components on different years, but I’ve never seen anyone mention the front pump. I have a 1999 and a 1989, the ‘89 has a knock and I’m planning on getting rid of it. The ‘99 has a major torque converter seal leak, the previous owner tried replacing it and gouged the inside lip of the pump, it will not seal now. I’m sure I can’t, but is there any chance the pumps stayed the same through the years and I can swap them? Thanks!
