I have a dana 30 front and a dana 35c rear i want to replace the rear but the time is not right yet have to much going on. So i was thinking of putting lockers on the front axle, i don't know if it will be worth the time if i'm just going to break the front axle after wheeling. i don't want to put money into it if i'm just going to break it, i currently have 31's but soon i want to get some bigger tires under there and i don't want to break that front axle and waste lockers and money. any opinions?

 

you will be fine with a locker up front

 

I ran a locker and 35s on mine and never broke a shaft.

 

I wouldn't run bigger than 33's with a locker on the dana 30, Its a strong little axle. The dana 35c is just pure garbage, don't waste your money. Find a dana 44 or atleast an 8 1/4 for the rear.

 

you should be fine jus try to avoid bouncing the front axle while tryin to get up something thats when parts start breaking.
