Default axle help please!!!!!!

okay so i go to get my alignment done today and they say they cant do it because my tire is about to fall off.....just to note.my front axle u joint are about to snap and now my pass side wheel bearing is bad...so my question is i stopped by the junkyard they have a cherokee 4x4 in good shape only thing is its an 89 and mine is a 92...will i be able just remove that axle piece with the u joints and just grab its wheel bearings while im down there or will they not fit???please help i need it bad

The 89 will most likely have the 2 piece right hand (long side) axle and the vacuum disco. Your 92 has 1 piece axles with no vacuum disco.

Honestly you would be better off purchasing a new hub and bearing, and replacing the u-joints on both sides of the axle. safer too. used stuff like that is never a guarantee it will be good or not.

They changed the whole brake assembly in 90. Parts prior to that would fit your 89. This change includes outer knuckles, hub bearings, rotors and calipers. You can ID these by the 2 piece outer knuckle... meaning the brake caliper mount bolts to the knuckles pre 90.

The axle shafts are interchangable through all years. Obviously the pass side is dependant upon a vac disconnect type axle. Also, if you have ABS brakes you need to make sure you have tone rings on replacement shafts as well.
