Default Axle swap help.

Ok here's the deal.
I want to do both axles at the same time. I want to upgrade to something that I have less chance of breaking.

Right now I can either buy:
1. Just a Dana 44 rear end out of a Cherokee. For around 400. (2hr drive)

2. A bronco front and rear matched set d44 front and 9in rear. It's on a commanche that he's parting out. The front axle is leaf springs. So I'd have to weld on upper/lower control arm brackets and such. ($400, 5-6 hr drive)

3. Or.... An 82 wagoneer d44 front (low pinion for a fact) and rear 70s scout d44 rear. They come together along with a TNT truss for the front that just has to be welded on that has the upper/lower brackets integrated, and also everything neede to do a disc brake conversion for the rear axle. He says I could just buy spacers for the rear to get them to match widths... Since the 82 wagoneer is 1-2" inches wider than stock Cherokee. And the scout is basically the same as stock.
I can all that for around 550-600 (4hr drive)

I want to buy something friday.
Advice? My cousin is a welder, and I do have access to a shop with a lift if that can be factored in to this situation.
Appreciate all thoughts.

Prolly option 2 if you don't lose your *** on gas. My parts hauler only gets 10mpg so I'd wait for something closer.

That 44 is full width not from an early Bronco and has cast wedges. If you can find a set of ford radius arms you can modify them for long arms but you can't grind off the wedges because there isn't tube under them. It and a matching 9" goes for around $250 in my neck of the woods.
Waggy axles are about an inch wider but the rear scout 44 is 4-5" narrower than stock. I can get exact measurements tomorrow (got a set of scout axles out back) if you need it.
