Axle width
OK I have found a set of DANA 44's with 4.11 gears out of a dodge. The only problem I can find is that they are 70 inches wide and I believe my axles now are 60. I wanted to know if an extra 5 inches wider on each side is too wide. I know the perches and stuff wont match up thats not the problem I am just worried that they may just be too wide to wheel with. I would love a hastey reply because I was going to go look at them tonight or tomorrow.

if they are 70'' wide......thats way to fn wide!!!!
i have full widths (hp d44 and 9'') out of an f100 and they are 63'' wide....wms to wms. my 37's are only under my jeep maybe 2'' and the other 10.5'' sticks out of the wheel well.
im guessing who ever measured them was measuring thier width from outer hub to outer hub.
diff's are usually measured from wheel mating surface to wheel mating surface. (wms to wms)
