Bad MPG

And many of your remarks weren't necessary. Practice what you preach.
I'd say do the work on your own. The best way to learn is the hard way. You aren't screwed if you plug in a wire in the wrong spot. It'll run like crap, you'll realize it's running like crap, then you'll realize the mistake you made and you'll fix it with no harm done. But yes, if you cross-thread a spark plug, you would be in trouble. Try not to do that.

Yeah, I'd ignore most of what the apparently unintentionally douchey douche had to say. The jobs listed are things that someone with zero mechanical experience can do with little or no risk of damage.
Don't...
1. Cross thread the spark plugs when you bolt them back into the head.
2. Allow any debris to fall into the cylinder when you remove the spark plugs. The hole they screw into goes directly to the cylinder/combustion chamber so be careful. I always use an air compressor to blow the gunk out from around the spark plugs before removing them.
Do...
1. Use a Sharpee or other permanent marker to label the spark plug wire locations (1-6) on the distributor cap so that you can use it as a reference when installing the new one. The coil wire goes in the middle.
2. Collect the tools you'll need... 3/8ths ratchet, 10" 3/8ths extension, 5/8ths (I think?) spark plug socket, and a Philips head screwdriver.
3. Properly gap your spark plugs at .035
4. Ask us questions if you run into any problems.

if youre asking such a basic question like that id suggest finding someone who does know what those parts are and assist them in replacement of said parts so that you will learn. if you put the plug wires in wrong youre screwed or wire the cap wrong, or cross thread a plug
really not slang its just what most people call them that have a basic grasp on what these parts are.
seriously im not trying to be a douche but it wasnt nessessary to inform us of youre novice status it came thru pretty loud and clear, good luck and happy learning

Don't let anyone try to discourage you. The fact that you're asking questions and looking into doing it yourself shows that you're interested and you will be fine. You'll also enjoy the learning process.
Just go for it dude.

Haha thanks guys! I know I'm new to this and I'm pretty sure I can do it.
I just dont have a lot of engine stuff experience and wanted to make sure and see if a newbie could do it, but I've done a lot elsewhere on my jeep. (rebuilt neutral safety switch module, installed new leafs in the back etc.)

You will be fine if you have basic mechanical skills, which it seems that you do.
Suggestions:
Take pictures before your start so you can always go back and reference where you started from. A minute of cell phone pics can save you lots and lots of time.
Check out some stuff online, youtube has a video for everything you will be doing.
Take your time and if in doubt ask a question (do a search) before doing something that seems counter intuitive or feels wrong.
Good words:
Do one spark plug at a time, remove the wire, remove the plug, replace with new plug (check gap), replace wire. Then move to the next one. NEVER a crossed wire that way.

My worst was 13mpg bad o2 and cracked exhaust manifold, but that was in town where I normally got 15 or so. On the HWY it was knocked down to 17 from 20 to 22. I am running bone stock.

Getting back on the mileage that I'm now getting. Haven't filled up a full tank cause gas prices are so high here. Besides that it seems to get much better mileage. Still think that changing my cat out could help some but thats later down the road.
