Hose will actually work minus the shell of course.

Sgt. Hulka? In Stripes? Maybe you're thinking of R. Lee Ermey in Full Metal Jacket?

Everybody ends up dead, eventually.

When WNJE started taking about a squealing around the distributor area, I had to think about that for a while. Eventually I remembered hearing that before, back in the 70's. Not on my car, one that came into my Dad's shop. Replaced the distributor, noise stopped.

Not saying that's what's wrong with hers, of course. Hard to tell in the videos because we're not there in person.

Yes I've read it a few times.

She asked a question, I answered. When my distributor was squeaking many people, including 20 year veteran Jeep mechanics failed to diagnose it correctly. Water pump, idler pulley, alternator, fan clutch, a/c clutch, belt and the a/c holder/fan bracket are all new in my Jeep from recommendations of ASE certified Jeep Mechanics. Finally one guy suggested a distributor or flex plate problem. Distributor was the gremlin. Of course, I ended up with a really really good deal on all the new parts on my Jeep and hardly any cost for labor so it worked out as a win for me. My point is, maybe some people forgot why the forum was created in the first place, to offer help and advice to others and to share success stories, not to mock or ridicule someone with less forum posts or ownership experience. Thanks, I just try to look past the criticism to the helpful guys on here. I'm learning the best I know how. I've fixed quite a bit on my Jeep with the helpers on here so the handful of criticisms I can look beyond but it can be discouraging.

Exactly because CF is not like other forums.

WNJE, you're still learning and that's great.

To be able to put up with us, that's incredible.

All kidding aside, get the mechanic's stethoscope and show these guys what you can do.
