Bad starter and cps?
I just replaced my cps and it skill start but after it starts and warms up it would not start again till the car cools down. Could it be that I got a bad new cps? about my starter it was cranking slowly then it came to a stop and only clicks now. I took it to get it tested and lt tested good. I put it back in and same thing out only clicks. Should I just but a n ew starter or is it something else that's wrong with my car? Please help

Always post the year/engine for the most accurate replies.
If it WASN'T doing this before the crank sensor replacement, then yes....the new crank sensor is suspect. Where did you buy it at? There is no lack of threads about poor reliability right out of the box with certain (not all) aftermarket crank sensors. I have been burned a couple of times and because of that, I will no longer install or recommend going aftermarket for this sensor. Buy it directly from Jeep.
Another suspect for thermal (heat related) failure is the ignition coil. They can be tested for primary/secondary resistances.
As for your starter, there is a quick test with a meter that will tell you what to do. When it is giving you trouble, get a meter and with the key in the ON position, get a voltage reading directly at the starter.
If you have approximately the same voltage at the starter as you do at the battery, replace the starter. If you have significantly less voltage, then you need to start working your way back into the engine bay to find out why (ie: bad cable, ground, etc)
