Default Bad track bar and bad bracket? HELP needed

Hi everyone. I own a 1996 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 and I’ve recently been looking at the cause of my shake/death wobble. I’m replacing the rear tires tomorrow and getting them rebalanced which will hopefully fix the shake but I guess we will see. Anyway I think I found a problem. My track bar I think has too much play in it. The end that attaches to the axel, with the bolt, looks to be in ok condition. There’s very very little play in that end, but where it attaches to the bracket, it’s seems to move up and down when you turn the wheels. I re torqued the nut a while ago so it should not be loose. The dust cover on that end is ripped so it’s likely pretty old. It also seems that the bracket that the track bar is attached to is moving. It appears to be in fine condition but I might have to look closer in the morning. Again this is where it attaches to the mount which then attaches to the frame, not the axel side as it doesn’t move much. If anyone has any tips on how to fix this or if this is normal, I would really appreciate if you tell me, as I’m tired of having this problem! Ive tried to check for play with the vehicle off but I can’t get it to move or clunk at all, instead only when it is on and turn the wheel. The steering also has some slack in it but I don’t think it’s related to this. Thanks!

a worn track bar is a definite cause of shake, and should be replaced if in doubt, get an adjustable one if your vehicle is lifted

double check the frame mounting bracket is not cracked or loose bolts, its under a lot of leverage, the trackbar stops the whole front end moving side to side

Replace it , if your factory moog, if you have a lift or intend to lift, get an adjustable. Also axle side bolt will wallow out or egg shape the hole in the bracket, check for that. If your dust boot is busted on the frame side, and its factory its probably done.
