hard install
i'm in the process of changing all the ball joints on a 94 xj with low pinion dana 30 and as soon as i torque the upper ball joint to 75 ftlbs the steering knuckles still turns good but as soon as i tighten the lower ball joint to 75 the steering knuckle barely moves i know these knuckles dont have the preload spacer/bushing piece in knuckle please help.

well like i stated before the previous owner said aka he swapped it out by looking at it, it is a low pinion and could this matter for torqueing the ball joint studs i know there the same torque specs but are they the same part themselves the ball joints

Is the joint greaseable? If so it may be a little tight until you grease it - but if it's binding or like you have to put your shoulder into it to turn it, I'd pull it out and get a different joint.

So the knuckle is turning but the ball joint itself is not?
I feel like your lower joint is bad. The joint should be easier to turn than the knuckle over the joint. So either the knuckle lower hole is expanded out from wear or the joint is too dang tight (meaning the internals of the joint, not the nut being too tight and not the stud too tight on the knuckle (obviously if movement is occurring that is breaking cotter pins.).

well i replaced all my ball joints with moog joints i know from all the research i've done their a lil more stiff then the elcheapo ones, and i've also noticed on youtube people changing dana 30 ball joints all the lowers there nuts spin and cotter pins are ok so is it meaning the stud and nut are supposed to spin together?

shouldn't the bj studs lock into the knuckles but still rotate when knuckles are turned thus keeping the ball joint nut turning with the stud?
