On the rear upper shock bolts don't use to much torque when removing them slow steady turns so they don't twist off.. On the front upper shock bolts use a ratcheting 12 point wrench. On those rear leaf spring bolts and front lca bolts use a big breaker bar and have a spare socket just in case ya break a socket..
Above all get PB Blaster and use it..

When I have put in kits on the rear leaf springs I start at the front spring eye and then do the rears second. I then bring the axle up to the center pin and put on the U bolts last. After everything is in place then I put on the shocks and then last is the brake line and bleed.

You may have to loosen the top shackle bolt so they will have a lil play to get the rear bolt in. Atleast that is what I had to do.
for the front shocks remove the air box and you will see that the upper shock mount is easy to get too.
You will break the four shock bolts in the rear so unless you are real good at extracting be prepared to cut into your floor board. lots of fun there.

X2 make sure you tighten everything after you finish the springs. Wait until you put the weight back on the new stuff before you do the final tightening.

another way to get to that pain in a front driver side shock is to take out your washer fluid resivoir. at least on my 89 that was the only way i could get to it other wise the master cylinder was in the way.

Nah!! Take them back and get your money back. The sets they rent are about 55.00 and you can always go get them when you need them. I bought a set at Harbor Freight for 12.00,they are cheap ones but work well. If I had to do over I would have just rented them from Advance and saved my 12.00.
