Default Bastard Pack Question????

I have stock leaf springs for a 1995 jeep wrangler. My question is,
can I use some or all the leafs to build a bastard pack for my 1991 xj?

Has anyone done this?

Anyway to answer your question you can use whatever leaf you want as long as they are the same wideness of the cherokee mother leaf, and you can cut the length if they are too long. You might be even able to fit the entire wrangler leaf spring with a custom built shackle.

hmm. is there any leaf spring out there that is a direct bolt in from another vehicle?

I guess I always kind of thought that YJ or TJ leafs would fit kind of easily.
I saw this guy on craigslist wanting to trade a 4 inch lift for the stock lift for a YJ once, wish it was an xj!

To answer your question, if you substitute the whole thing you probably will not get any lift. If you add the yj leaves to yours, you will get a little, but the ride will be harsher. This is not really a good donor spring for this.

well probably not any harsher than an s 10 bastard pack would be.

they have roughly the same curb weight.

I'm not expert though
