Ok just want to know a few peoples thoughts...went to go start my jeep it was dead absolutley nothing....put the booster pack on it it fired right up.....take the booster pack of it stays running does this clearly sound like a junk battery? Also the vehicle runs mostly off the alternator once it is running correct? And it is possible for the battery to not get a charge if it is no good? I've been noticing the jeep being a bit funky the past couple days so the battery could have finally junked.out

Sounds like battery. Go down to a parts store and have it load tested before you start tearing anything else apart.

Grounds would be the other thought.. But don't even stress it. Let the machine do the work for you..

Clean the battery cables and terminals!

When you jumped it your connections were on the cables, not the actual battery posts.
