I wouldn't try that but that is just me.
The exhaust ports are larger on the 0630.
The you have to figure out what exhaust manifolds you will run.
And if you choose a 1 piece like a '99 would have then what do you
do about your O2 sensors and front cat.
So there is this:

https://jeepexhaustadapter.com/

Might answer some questions for you.
And you will have to fab a bracket to run your coil bar.
Unless of course you do this:

https://www.ksuspensionfab.com/store...Coil_Mod_.html

Or something similar.
I may let a local guy rebuild the original motor. My only concern is what parts he uses. Any recommendations? What's a really good rebuild kit?

Not a clue.
If building an engine ever became a reality then I would have to research stuff best I could to try to get a handle on that.

I did an apprenticeship when i was in HS at a machine shop where we rebuilt engines. Owner would only use Clevite or OEM supplied bearings. If the customer wanted to provide his own cheaper alternative the owner wouldn't guarantee those parts.

We reused cranks and cams and valves as long as they all checked good. Typically replaced valve springs unless customer told us not to.

New freeze plugs all around and block and head castings would go into the giant parts washer.

You can ask them what parts they use and if they wont tell you id go elsewhere.

I know back in the 1980's I rebuilt a 350,400,302 and a VW motor but cannot recall brands of the kits but I know the 350 and 400 all was bought from Summit racing and Jegs. I was taking a Automotive Mechanics classes at tech school after I got out of the military. My belief is you get what you pay for so don't got cheap but frugal.

I've always used Clevite 77 bearings and Perfect Circle piston rings, Felpro gasket sets, Melling oil pumps, and Sealed Power lifters unless it was a high lift cam, then I used Isky or Crane lifters. Pistons were always OE unless it was a race engine. ALWAYS new valve springs.

The last motor I did was just a "refresh" with standard bearings, rings after a honing and a valve and seat grind, done in a barn! It's still running 15 years later. 350 Chevy in a truck.

The trick is cleanliness and holding tolerances.

I do know that we sell Sealed Power stuff at the store. Thinking it is Federal Mogul stuff.
But whether it is any good I don't know. Lot of that stuff might get used just cause it would
be very easy for me to get.
Like I said this would require all sorts of research on my part.
