this

$200 gets me a ZJ rear disc brake conversion from Big Dave(cuz Im too LAZY to go get it myself), a fill up @ the pump ($45), and still have enough for a 6' toasted spicy italian combo from Subways w/3 cookies!

Oh wait a sec, that would have cost me $202.39 my bad
Your actually still cheaper then what was spent on these. It was $209+ shipping.

pretty sure i've never seen this done to a jeep either.. just think of how unique you'd be then!

certain things aren't done for good reason.

I have to disagree with the OP. I prefer high-quality, OEM glass halogen lamps over cheap, plastic junk that is generally installed by youngsters who prefer fashion over function.

If you love 'em, great, more power to ya. I have known kids who honestly thought that stickers, bookshelf wings, purple window tint and fart mufflers where the best money they ever spent. I think these look silly, and I seriously doubt they outperform OEM $12.95 Sylvania Halogens.

I can see how someone would dislike these headlights, but I sort of like them with black instead of chrome internal surrounds (the chrome does look really tacky but the black looks pretty subdued). I'm thinking about picking up a set for my XJ because I initially considered installing a set of headlights from a XK Commander but decided that hacking up my header panel and all of the ***-ache that came along with it wasn't worth it.

The replacement bezels are black, right? Could someone paint them to match their factory paint?

I don't care for the looks, I can't comment on the performance bc I'm not driving it. my jeep is stock and I'm getting old so that's no surprise. I installed a putco harness w sylvania xtra vision glass lights to combat the poor lighting.

with that being said. eff the haters. keep up the good work. keep modding and working on your jeep to your liking. that's what it's all about.

I like them because their different. It's your rig so who cares what anyone else thinks. I'd rather like what I own then do what everyone else thinks.

Thumbs down Street Cruiser

Clearly a street cruiser, not a rock crawler! Seems a waste of $200.

If they could just cut off the little turn signal part and the LED strip crap. Like if were just a regular 5x7" headlamp with the projector Id buy it for sure!!!

I just think the hole turn signal and led strip is too much. Just seems a bit odd. But definitely cool. Rock it man!!

Agreed. The LED's push it over the top and make it seem like a ricer. I think the projector part looks cool (is it a legit projector or a knockoff??) but the LED's just make it tacky.

I'd rather spend less than $200 and do a retrofit. A decent amount of work, but then you can really get your lights to look the way you want and you KNOW that you will have some good lenses in there. Just my .02.

What I'm drawn to with these lights are that they are modern composite lamps, like the XK's.

I agree that they would be better without the LED fairy lamps, though.

@OP,Those headlights look crazy. Get some aftermarket tail lights too. That will complete the look. Anzo USA makes some that are right up ur alley. Don't be discouraged by haters. The best thing some of these guys bought is a jug of rotella and a bottle of mystery oil LOL.

These two statements are contradictory. Unfortunately you are blinding oncoming traffic. And the wide angle of light you're referring to is called diffusion. It's where the lens is not correctly set up to handle the light output, thus is scatters it in a wider angle that isn't sharp (or diffused).

When you swap to higher wattage bulbs, the effects of diffusion will be multiplied significantly.

I had found these a few months ago. I think they look pretty cool. but would never pay that much or put them on my rig, just not my style. I would like to see how they look on they xj in the daylight
