So, you have the doors with "wing windows" or 2 pieces of glass per front door, right?

Go to the link below and post your wants/needs and see what comes up.

You can now decide, with confidence, which way you want to go free here on out with your headlights.

The Pull-a-Parts in Knoxville, Nashville and Memphis all have XJs on their lots and are continually getting new ones in. Have you been to one of those and checked to see what was there? Even if they don't have one that matches yours right now, you can set up an email notification where they will email you the next time one comes in. Then just go take what you need from it.

PaP is usually quite a bit cheaper than if you get parts already pulled off the car. The Nashville PaP price list shows door panels for $17.95 each.

Knoxville has a '96 and a '98 on the lot right now.

Memphis has two '98s and a '99.

Nashville has a '96 and a '97.

Not sure what part of the state you're in, but you might also have other PaPs close by in other states if you're close to a border. Looking at Nashville's price list (the others should be similar), doors are $49.95 each, but you get a $5 core charge back if you bring your old doors to them.

There are some other self-service lots around the state. I think Memphis has an LKQ, which sucks but sometimes has the part you need. There are some smaller self service yards around as well. Just search "self-service auto parts" in your area.

The great thing about self-service yards is the hunt. Sometimes you even find things you didn't realize you needed.

Woodbury is not 2 1/5 hours from Nashville unless you're driving an Amish buggy.

Oh, please, not this nonsense again.

Dielectric grease is made for electrical connections. It's the reason it was developed. It's REQUIRED in many mil-spec and civilian telecom applications.

The contact pressure moves the grease away from the actual contact point, leaving a film so microscopically thin that it is no longer an insulator, but still protecting the contacts from corrosion.

About the only place you don't want it is on high-frequency connections, such as coaxial cable connectors or waveguides.

Use it liberally on any other push-on or screw on connection.
