Oh for Pete's sake, between this and the "eggs in the radiator" discussion in another thread, I'm gonna give up and just go to Denny's.
Last time I skip breakfast. Bad idea.

On topic:
I agree with the Rotella/Wix combo. Check out this vid on Oil Filter quality.

What does it matter...The 4.0 would run on cooking oil !!!!

What you are asking for is just as annoying as a telephone survey. There is no one correct answer or one bad answer.

You need to search for a study with data. Consumer reports done one awhile back, ran a fleet of taxis over 100k with every major oil brand then tore engines down and measured wear. Their report and data found NO significant wear difference from one brand to another. Personally I run wally world 15-40 tractor and fleet oil that is high in zinc. The 4.0 is basically a tractor engine!

For the record I am using the search menu and it took me a good 5-10 mins just to find this thread, I am on a mobile device so maybe the search isn't as good but all that kept coming up is 20-30 oil and oil filter leak questions, that being said I understand it has more than likely been covered and re-covered but if nobody can find it that doesn't really matter

Yeah the in-site search function is crap. Put what your looking for into Google and add "site:cherokeeforum.com" on the end

Motomaster is the same unit as the FRAM orange ****can. If you care about your Jeep you'll use a real filter.
