The best rust deterant ever!
Okay all you guys that own a Cherokee probably know about all the spots they leak from. lets say your looking at a Cherokee your gonna buy and you notice the thing has oil leaks. Well that's not really a bad thing as long as the fluids have been kept topped off.because it means everything under neath has been preserved from the oil. otherwise your looking at one that's never had a leak and everything underneath looks like scales of rust every wear. what do you guys think?

any suggestions for another rust deterrent underneath for those of us that don't have the luxury of this natural prevention?? haha
all the salt they throw down on the roads up here in Syracuse doesn't help my situation either, so i'm lookin to stop anything before my foot goes through the floorboard one day

You could always take a punch and ping the edge of your rear main seal to get our luxurious active undercoating. Lol
If you are really desperate you can take burnt motor oil and a paintbrush and go to town on anything metal.

I heard that you got to be careful when undercoating. Making sure not to get the drain holes blocked as that will cause rust from the inside out.

get yourself a cheap paint gun and a tyvek suit and spray the whole jeep underside in motor oil used or not we do it up here and it works wonders for areas where active undercoating misses

my dad used to work for a companty that mae this stuff called fluid film. it was good stuff, they would spray all the metal they stored outside during the winter and it would keep them clean, it also eats surface rust

Active under coat is right! I had a 75 Torino before my XJ and it had blown the Rear main and I drove it like that for about 6 months. The underside had no rust at all!!!
