First off, welcome.
Im posting from a phone and I don't remember what the pages looked like on my computer.
When I go to a section on here like Cherokee chat for example, at the top of my screen is new topic tab/bar that runs full witdth of the screen. I click that and go from there.

I don't get it.
Why all the concern about mileage?
Adjusted for inflation, gas is as cheap as it has ever been in my decades of driving.
If oil gets any cheaper the ranchers here in North Dakota will have to go back to ... ranching.

BTW, I only did the 4 hole injectors because I was replacing them anyway.

Yea fuel is cheap but if your not getting the decent mileage you should be then something with the vehicle needs attended to. Running an engine too rich isn't the best thing for it.

Cool. 👍. I'm also getting about epa sticker milage with my XJ when I work at keeping the up shift indicator from coming on. I don't have the mild lift, bigger AT tires and skid plates like the other guy. Mine gets DD used for general, utility and traveling.

My commute used to be 50 miles one way. Most of that was highway 55 mph. Some was in traffic. About 11 miles of that was over the Blue Ridge Mountains, on a road that goes pretty much along the ridge, from one pass to another. On that section the speed limit was 40 mph, and it was a lot of twists and turns and ups and downs. One thing that made a surprising difference for me was dropping into 3rd gear for that section. When I had it in drive, it spent the whole 11 miles hunting back and forth between 3rd and 4th. So I started dropping in in 3rd to stop the hunting. That made for a more comfortable drive, but to my big surprise I picked up a full 2 MPG on my average fuel economy. That's huge!
Of course that particular situation is unique, but the point of telling about that is to say, assuming your vehicle is in correct working order, your driving habits will make more difference than any gadget or upgrade ever can.

Years ago my friend had a wheel lifting Camaro. I was lucky enough to get probably 11,000 miles driving it on road trips and as DD and such. We can't talk about city type driving with it, but highway I could consistently get 24.5 with it. The actual owner of it never beat 22. Primary reason is that I never got over being a little afraid of it and drove it much more gently than he did. When I got pulled over in it I was going 68 in a 60. When he got pulled over in it he was going 145 in a 70. So, yeah, I got a lot better mpg than he did.

I find keeping the engine above 1500 rpm while under load works great at increasing mileage and throttle response. Twisty, hilly country roads I'm usually in 3rd gear running 1800-2000.

That got your rpm range up to where the engine performed more efficiently. Engine was running at too low an rpm to handle the amount of air being introduced. Fuel to air ratio wasn't optimum. If you've never run a vehicle with a vacuum gauge connected you ought to try it.
Yep. That, and I wasn't constantly having the TC locking and unlocking. I didn't have to touch the brakes much because the engine compression held the speed nicely on downhills, where in 4th it would not.
Another big gain is from NOT tailgating, which almost all of you do, based on my observations of other drivers over almost 50 or so years. Most people tailgate. When you do, you have to be on both of the pedals a lot more. You can't just relax and absorb the ups and downs of traffic in front of you with gentle adjustments.
It also doesn't get you there any sooner, so it's a really stupid thing to do on many levels. But most people drive emotionally, not rationally. It just feels like you are getting there sooner when you are up on the car in front of you.
