So I hit a curb the other night and blew my tire out and bent my lower control arm bracket as you can see. I found some replacements online and was wondering if that’s the actual replacement for it. And was wondering if i get them cut out and cut some new ones out of some heavy sheet metal if it will drive the same again

Trashed a lca axle bracket and bent the upper one on the right side of my XJ. Used one of these to replace the trashed lower one. The upper one was repairable.

The front end alignment/front end repair shop owner said the IRO bracket was the best he's used as a replacement. You'll definitely need to find such a shop that knows what they're doing so that the axle assembly is realigned properly. Three other "collision repair shops" wanted to replace the whole D30 assembly. Where you located?

What did he find that makes him say it needs replaced? Any other damages? Unless the housing is bent and/or MAYBE if the housing was torn open at the bracket I don't see why it can't be repaired. Shame your so far from Slanesville,WV(Hampshire county). Try and find an alignment shop that specializes not only in alignments and replacing parts but in structural repairs.

Would it not be easier to just swap the axle? Or at least if you or anyone nearby isn't good at structural repair. Or if it doesn't turn out well at least axles are fairly cheap and easy to replace.
