BF Goodrich All Terrain TA/KO NEED ADVICE
#17
I'm always used MTR's but I put a set of AT's on my Rubicon.
After the first time off road I took them back to sears and went back to the MTR.
Don't waste your time...get the MTR's.
Its better to have the MTR and not need them than to need them and be equipped with a AT's. Tires make all the difference in the world.

i had them in 33s on my isuzu trooper and went every where i looked with no trouble. i had them fro 3 or 4 years and did lots of highway time on them. i had them while going to college in san antonio and living in corpus so i would drive back and forth every weekend.
corpus is all sand and wet mud so no rock time or trail time, just mudding and sand dune crawling

YOU will LOVE these tires, I ran these for a long time. Keep them rotated, they got me out of spots I should have never been in. As far as the Ko's mileage wise great tire, offroad I won't run them.

i run mine off-road everywhere i can think of, i usually only get stuck if i stop haha, i think they do great in off-road for what they are. swampers are lots better though....

the tightness of the tread pattern doesn't shuck mud that great, but overall great tire, i've had mine for a little over a year and have no visible wear. only got stuck once... check out my photo gallery, and you'll see why - had nothing to do with the tires...too bad i didn't have a winch!

I bought a set from a scrape yard that were in great shape. Paid 130 for wheels and tires sold the wheels for 125, so i spent 5 bucks on my set and love them. They are quite, they do pretty good in the mud (of course mud tires would do better). Where i go hunting i have to go up and down a steep hill and they keep traction great. I would recommend these tires to anyone.

got it on my dakota. 28k miles still at about 1/2 inch on center. they look like they were put on a week ago. I've never seen a tire that could take that much abuse. i ran off the road one time going about 60-65 hit a curbside and it climbed right on it and kept on going. a GoodYear would have probably given out by then. only downfall is the weight. my 265/75/16's (basically 32x10.5) weight about 64-65 lbs. and they are no good in mud. they cake up in a minute. but i can't get them to break traction on snow or on just regular wet surface.

I used to have these tires on my jeep, I personally hated them, they worked good on the street and dry dirt, but in the mud (we have clay mud in my area) they SUCKED and got clogged wayyyy to easily, they cost me the header panel and driverside fender, along with the stock front bumper. But any a/t tire in the mud in my area wont do very good, I gave those tires to my sister for her jeep(rarely sees the mud) and I ran her uniroyal laredo tires for a few monthes, and the uniroyals did suck, being an all season tire, but they did just as good as the a/t's in the mud and i offroaded the hell out of them, but then again its a jeep now im running super swamper TSL radials, 31x9,5 and I loooovvvvveeeeee these tires, great road traction for an m/t tire, and they tear ***** up off road, havent let me stuck once, and I hit some pretty intense stuff with my jeep.

The BFG A/T's is all me and my dad run on my Jeep and his 05 F-250. I wouldn't buy any other tire. They are quiet on the road, hold the road like no other, and do great off road. My dad goes through some rough stuff in his truck. He works in the oil field, and most of the time its a nasty muddy road he has to go down. These tires go right through it.
He has gotten 50,000+ miles out of his sets. I'm on my first set. I've put under a thousand miles on em. Love them so far. Don't go for MT's, unless your always in mud. I know I will never buy a mud terrian on my XJ, unless its strictly a trail rig.

Ive had them new since i got my XJ, They handle pretty good in the snow, fine on pavement, not the best in mud, but they will work for the occasionaly wheeling trip.
cant comment on mileage really, i get around 16-20 city but only about 12 when going 70 on expressway. 16+ when going about 60-65.
cant comment about sand or rocks yet. I plan to get something with a bit more of an aggressive tread though. Seems everyone has these tires so i just want to get something a little more unique and a wider spaced tread.
For a DD and occasional wheeling rig, there fine
