if you can find a 4banger xj it would be a cheap gear change they have factory 410s thats how i got mine 100 buck for fron and rear at the upullit and you have the carrier if you need to go taller

I didn't know that!!! Thanks for the info. I was also planning on 4.56's with my 33's and eventually 35's, but for u-pull-it prices I will definitely choose the 4.10's. I don't do much highway driving, and if I do it's usually a 20-30 minute ride maximum, so 4.56's would probably work pretty well for me. The added power around town would be greatly appreciated... except in the rain. I'm yet to see a 4 banger in the yard yet, but if I do I'll make sure to grab the gears out of it. What all do I need to grab to swap it over and will both front and rear fit my Xj as long as they're the same axles? I have a '94 with a D30 and 8.25.

65x4.56x336/33x.75= 2263rpms with auto
65x4.56x336/33x.79= 2384rpms with AX15
These are the true rpms at 65 if the tire size is correct. If Quadratech chart is not the same they are wrong.
Your Cherokee running 38s at 65 with 4.10s will be 65x4.10x336/38x.79=1861rpms. By the photo up there it looks if you are running in the neighborhood of 1861 at 65 depending on speedometer error.
