So I am working on my son's 98 Cherokee SE. It has a hard time starting. Fuel pressure is 25 psi. We are replacing the pump this weekend.

HOWEVER

It has gone from hard to start to not starting. I was checking for spark and as soon as I pulled the plug wire and checked for spark to the head cover, BAM! It started. It was rough but it started. I immediately put the wire back on. Since then, the only way I can get it to start is to pull a spark plug wire. I have done both 6 and 5 at different times. It starts, spits and sputters and once it is running 30 seconds or so it runs relatively fine.

We replaced the cap, rotor, and wires. All wires are wired correctly. Checked three times. Trying to replace the coil but the devil himself must have placed that thing. Almost impossible to get to those bolts and the nuts behind them.

Anyway, have you ever heard of this? This is crazy.
