I will be putting "new" rotors & new pads on today.
As far as the pads is there any that seem to have good life? I see O'Riellys has the standard cheap set for 10 bucks but I'm looking at a set that says they are semi-metallic for 15-20 a set. Is it just a matter of preference?

Thanks y'all!!
My brake fluids good. I went ahead & replaced both the pads & the rotors. I even got a 2 for 1 on the rotors (I didn't even notice til I got home & looked at the receipt. Thanks AutoZone!!)
The rotors do in fact look like records with a lip around the outside. & Marcucco you were dead on - the outside pad on the passenger side had no brake left. The rest were terribly thin & had lots of cracking in them.
I neglected to pay attention however to the fact that I am at this moment the only licensed person home & had a few beers so I haven't driven it yet to see if that fixed my problem.
I'm glad I used the write up I found on here to do the work. My husband was trying to walk me through it on the phone & was trying to get me to take a large (bigger than a 32) nut off the end. <3 how well you guys explain things. I greatly appreciate it & your patience.

Fricking awesome! Thanks again! The brakes work!! Hoping some of you all will re check this thread though --
While the brakes are great (No more squealing & I can stop!) I noticed my CHECK ANTILOCK light is on.
I used this method
The "Key Tricks"
Older (OBDI) models - Start with the ignition off. Within five seconds, switch the key on, off, on, off, on. ("On" is NOT "Start" and "Off" is NOT "Lock"). The "check engine" light will flash. Count the flashes. Each code is a two digit code, so a (for example) 23 would be FLASH FLASH (pause) FLASH FLASH FLASH (long pause). It will never flash more than 9 times, so watch for those pauses!

There is occasional pulsing on the passenger side when I brake (has been since I bought it) but its not every time I brake. It will do it when slowing from highway speeds & when stopping at a light. The pulsing sound stops when I let off the brake or will stop if I press harder on the brake. It does it at random times so I can't pin point what it might be. I don't notice any vibration either.
So I've see reasons from the ABS pump/motor assembly and/or actuator being faulty to bad speed sensor (It comes on shortly after I put it in drive & does not go off til I shut the heep off).
What do you think? Am I headed in the right direction? & just so I can double check - Where exactly would I plug my code puller into? (Its a 91 XJ Limited 4WD)

You can't pull ABS codes using the key method, that's for engine trouble codes.
You have the Bendix 9 hydro boost brake system that doesn't use a vacuum operated brake booster. It was used on some '89-'91 Jeeps. This explains it, and gives the codes. http://www.aa1car.com/library/abs_bendix9.htm
I've read that vehicles with these systems are still under warranty.
